Despite the date of the anniversary, 4th June 2020 occurring during the period of lockdown in the UK, members who held a full licence were given the opportunity to use the callsign G8SRS/100 to publicise this important event in the Society’s history.
For nearly a month, members took the opportunity to air the call sign on HF, VHF & UHF using SSB, CW, digitally and even via satellite to publicise our 100th birthday. Many amateurs around the world reciprocated by sending their greetings and best wishes to the Society along with their best wishes for the future. Many of these having connections with Stockport or the surrounding district.
