Armed Forces Day this year will take place on 28th June 2025 and here in Stockport there will be commemorations around the town centre, Market Place close to St Georges Church and Merseyway Shopping Centre.
The day will include parades, live entertainment, and family activities, events will also be held at various museums throughout the day. Museums will be open with free access for Armed Forces Day celebrations. The event also recognizes the support of reservists, cadet forces, veterans, and their families.
SRS will be joining in the commemorations sharing space with member John M0PEK who will be exhibiting his restored WWII Dodge Command vehicle. We will be on air during the day using callsign GX8SRS on both HF and VHF, more details to follow in due course.
