The closure is likely to cause significant disruption in the surrounding area and across Stockport especially in the first few days\/weeks as people get used to its effect and make alternative arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For information, including diversions and changes to bus routes please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrail.co.uk\/running-the-railway\/our-routes\/north-west\/greek-street-bridge-replacement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.networkrail.co.uk\/running-the-railway\/our-routes\/north-west\/greek-street-bridge-replacement\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1743419643657000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0mDiNlbxpq6-9itaMHXT6I\">https:\/\/www.networkrail.<wbr \/>co.uk\/running-the-railway\/our-<wbr \/>routes\/north-west\/greek-<wbr \/>street-bridge-replacement\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Public Transport<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walthew House is close to the centre of Stockport and is easily accessible by public transport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rail<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0Stockport\u2019s Edgeley main line station is a short 10 minute walk away.\u00a0 The station is on a branch of the West Coast Main Line to Manchester Piccadilly and is served by services to\/from all parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We would recommend consulting the National Rail enquiries website and that of Transport for Greater Manchester (Bee Network) for fuller details of train services serving Stockport (Edgeley) Station.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/\">https:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tfgm.com\/\">https:\/\/tfgm.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bus<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0The area of Shaw Heath is served directly from the centre of Stockport. Presently services are operated by Stagecoach Manchester whose route 313 currently stops immediately outside Walthew House in both directions, both to and from Stockport. The route also serves Manchester Airport for anyone visiting us from further afield.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main A6 trunk route is a 5 minute walk away and bus routes from further afield including Manchester,\u00a0 Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Buxton all stop within easy reach of the venue. Bus routes to\/from Altrincham, Wythenshawe, Gatley, Cheadle and Stockport also stop enroute through Edgeley which is close by and a short walk away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you intend to visit Walthew House by public transport, we recommend consulting the bus section of the Transport for Greater Manchester (Bee Network) website, where details and times of local services can be found.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tfgm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/tfgm.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stagecoachbus.com\/about\/manchester\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.stagecoachbus.com\/about\/manchester<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Arriving by Car &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Walthew House is in the district of Shaw Heath and not far from Stockport County&#8217;s Edgeley Park ground. For those using \u201cSatNav\u201d the post code is SK2 6QS, however, please be mindful that this post code covers a very long road. Walthew House is at the northerly end of Shaw Heath with a local landmark being \u201cHarry Bates Bathroom Centre\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Those arriving by car should be mindful of the Greek Street Bridge Replacement which will have significant impact on the local area including transport.
