The SSB leg of this year’s CQ Magazine’s WW DX series of contests takes place this coming weekend (25th & 26th October 2025) across the usual contest HF bands (10 metres to 160 Metres, excluding the WARC bands) and our contesters will be taking part from the usual hilltop site at Common Barn Farm using the callsign G5O.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team’s progress during the weekend can be followed by tuning into Pete M1PTR’s Contest Monitor<\/a> where if the station is “running” you’ll be able to see the active frequency and listen in on your radio. If you have no radio to hand and would like to listen in then remember you can do so using some of the WebSDR receivers both locally & further afield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as the team, I am sure there will be members entering from their home or portable QTHs. Please may we ask that entries are submitted quoting “Stockport Radio Society” so they may be included in the club competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
